Friction - soft and hard, used for the polishing (honing) of Razor Blades and reptile glazing bolsters.

Waxed 4A - a heavily dressed leather used in the manufacture of Hydraulic Seals.

Waxed G - dressed with harder greases and used for Cylinder Oil Scrapers.

PDFlex - full chrome tanned but made ultra-soft and flexible for later impregnation of grease for hydraulic seals.

Cestretan - (a trade mark derived from Cestrefeld, the old Roman name for Chesterfield) a full chrome then vegetable tanned (= a retanned) leather suitable for the manufacture of hydraulic seals. This dry leather enables the producer to impregnate with his own waxes, but capable of being dry-moulded at up to 130C.

Cestretan `G', as above impregnated with a hard wax for moulding immediately after softening of the grease.

Round Belting leather - made to drive industrial sewing machines etc.

Oiled Leathers - for marine seals and for anti-chafing applications like chain and rope protectors.

MOD Leathers - approved supplier of specially tanned vegetable leathers made to tropic and rot-proof specifications.

BUFFALO LEATHERS

Vegetable tanned - specially tanned for its high Abrasive properties for Polishing wheels, for steel and cutlery trades.

Chrome tanned, again used as a Friction material. Made up into various layers, rivetted together and used as a clutch drive in a large car-body type screw press.
