Clayton of Chesterfield have been established over 160 years. With a marriage of experience and technology we have become tanners and leather manufacturers who are able to produce quality leathers to suit individual requirements. In today's modern world we are tempting interior and fashion designers world wide with our wide range of products, and so opening a doorway to new design opportunities. Leather floor tiling and wall coverings is our most recent addition to a long list of products and Claytons are able to present the advantages and opportunities that leather as a raw material has to offer.

Our leathers are manufactured from only the finest quality hides world wide - only the best cattle hides are used for our products.

Our productions are carefully monitored by our well equipped laboratory and knowledgeable staff. Regular quality control is administered throughout all stages of production to the finished article in the warehouse, to the disciplines of the quality assurance/ISO 9002.

We offer leathers utilising traditional vegetable tannages in addition to the modern chroming methods and a range of combination tannages from sulphur, oil and alum to resin syntans.

Being a small comprehensive and versatile production unit enables us to adapt our productions to customers individual requirements.
